LimbPower launches new fitness and wellbeing resources

  • LimbPower launches new fitness and wellbeing resources
  • National Disability Sport Organisation LimbPower has launched a number of new resources, to enhance its exisiting online library, designed to support amputees and people with limb difference to stay fit and healthy, both at home and during their one daily exercise.
  • All of LimbPower’s resources have been developed with coaches and healthcare professionals with a special interest in working with amputees and indviduals with limb difference and have been designed specifically with our community participants in mind.
  • Kiera Roche, CEO of LimbPower says: “Staying active and supporting our physical and mental health during this period of self-isolation is vital for our well-being. LimbPower recognises the need for impairment-specific resources tailored for our community to support them through this challenging time.”
  • LimbPower’s resources complement Sport England’s national ‘Join The Movement’ campaign, which evolved following the restrictions imposed during the Coronavirus pandemic, and uses the hashtag #StayInWorkOut. The campaign has proved extremely popular and includes content providers such as Les Mills on Demand and Joe Wicks (The Body Coach).
  • The new resources from LimbPower can be found in our newly created Facebook Groups LimbPower Stay In Stay Activeand LimbPower Juniors Stay In Stay Active and on the LimbPower website https://limbpower.com/exercise/toolkit-videos We are encouraging LimbPower community members to join in and share what they are doing at home to encourage others by using the hashtag #LimbPowerShare and the Sport England hashtag #StayInWorkOut.
