Measuring Physical Activity and sedentary behaviour in people with lower limb absence - Day 3

Wearing the device has made me aware of how little movement I do during the day when I am working. I am making a conscious effort to get up once in a while and move around. I've read some really interesting research about how many steps a person should take a day. One study showed that the average man takes 7192 steps a day and the average woman takes 5210 step per day. According to the The Walking Website we should be taking 10,000 steps a day. A sedentary person may only average 1,000 to 3,000 steps. Time to get a fitbit or polar loop and see how many steps I take a day.
