Active Beyond Education Research

The two main aims of the research were:

    1. To better understand reasons for the decline in disabled people’s participation in sport and physical activity, during the transition from education to adulthood.
    2. To recommend how to promote and maintain engagement in sport and physical activity amongst young disabled people.

    The research was commissioned by six of the UK's National Disability Sports Organisations (NDSOs), in partnership with the English Federation of Disability Sport (EFDS) and supported by Sport England. The NDSOs are:
