Join us in Bristol on 22nd February for this free workshop designed to help amputees and individuals with limb differences move efficiently and confidently. Learn essential skills, exercises, and drills from expert coaches in a safe, supportive environment.
Created back in 2014, by LimbPower, with England Athletics these workshops have two aims:
1. To train and empower amputees and people with limb difference to move more quickly and efficiently. This event is for amputees and individuals for people with limb difference only.
2. To teach and empower amputees and people with limb difference to run in a safe training environment focusing on the exercises and movement skills required to prepare to run with or without a running prosthetic.
So come and join LimbPower for the Bristol Prepare to Move and Prepare to Run workshop. This event is free to attend, so bring your prosthetists or OT with you.
This event is for adults and children over the age of 12.
1. Developing skills and learning exercises to move more efficiently and quickly.
2. Teaching adults and teenagers how to use their prosthetics for physical activity in a fun and relaxed environment
3. Building confidence and self-esteem
All the exercises and drills are adapted by expert coaches for amputees and people with limb difference. Places are limited so PLEASE book early to avoid disappointment.
All participants will receive a Preparing to Run DVD and resource pack.
