LimbPower Resources

LimbPower exist to engage amputees and individuals with limb impairments in regular and sustained participation in physical activity, sport and art to improve their quality of life and to aid physical, social and psychological rehabilitation. This requires a number of different approaches and interventions. Our resources section is designed to give individuals the information they need to empower them to take control of their own health.

Exercise Videos

This section has 62 videos to help you with your exercise programme, no matter what level of confidence or fitness you have. The videos are split between Introduction & Warm Up, Agility, Balance and Coordination, Dynamic Exercises, Strength & Conditioning and Circuit Training and Stretching.

Case Studies

In this section you will find personal case studies written by amputees and individual's with limb impairments about their own experience of engaging in physical, activity, sport and the arts. You will also find sports specific case studies to give you an insight into the individual sports.

Childrens Resources

LimbPower, with support from Starworks, Reach, Steps, healthcare professionals and families have produced a series of educational infographics to support children and families coming to terms with limb difference, limb absence and limb loss. We plan to develop this series further so please do get in touch if you have any ideas or suggestions.
